WEIRD THINGS IN THE AVENUES

There is a building in the Avenues we are not going to name. The people who own it asked us not to. We are respecting that.

What we can say is that it was built in 1911, that it has been vacant for some time due to structural safety concerns, and that the maintenance workers who have been responsible for the building over the years have developed a specific policy about going inside. They do not go in alone. Not anymore. This is not a formal policy. It is an understanding that developed over time after enough things happened that nobody wanted to be the only living person in the building when they happened.

What things. Voices. Conversation level sound from empty hallways. Figures passing at the far end of a corridor that are not there when you get to the far end of the corridor. Objects in positions they were not in the last time someone was in the room. The workers are not dramatic people. They are maintenance workers. They have been in a lot of buildings. They know the difference between a building that makes noise and a building that has something in it. This building has something in it.

The building is secured. Tightly. No access for anyone who shouldn't be there. The Spooky Boys were granted access for an investigation.

The EMF readings were elevated throughout. Not in one room. Throughout. The kind of distributed charge that suggests the building has been accumulating something for a long time across its whole structure rather than one event in one location. 1911 is a long time. A lot can accumulate in a building that age in a neighborhood that old on ground that has been occupied since the pioneer era.

We documented what we found. The documentation is in the case file. The case file is not public.

The maintenance workers still don't go in alone. We understand why.
