SENSOR SPHERES

These are motion reactive sensor spheres.

Each unit contains an internal motion sensor that activates on contact with an energy field or physical disturbance. Activation triggers an LED response. The response is immediate. The threshold is low. That is by design. You want to know the moment something is there, not a moment after.

They are small. Unassuming. Entities do not appear to consider them a concern, which is the most useful thing about them. Larger equipment announces itself. The SLS camera is visible. The Ghosty Box has an antenna. The sensor spheres sit on the floor and wait and nothing in the room treats them as a threat. That is an advantage that more sophisticated equipment cannot replicate because more sophisticated equipment looks like what it is.

Placement matters. Doorways. Corners. The center of a room that has been producing activity. Anywhere a presence would pass through to get somewhere else. The spheres map the movement of whatever is in the space without the whatever knowing it is being mapped. When one activates and there is no physical explanation for why, that is data. When two activate in sequence across a room, that is something moving through the space in a direction. The Spooky Boys log both.

They are among the most consistently reactive instruments in the kit. The reasons for that are still being evaluated. A device this simple producing results this consistent is either evidence that the threshold is too low or evidence that the threshold is exactly right and something keeps crossing it. They were originally designed for cats. Kitty cats like them too. The Spooky Boys do not fully understand why the same device works on both. That question is also in the document.
